Description: In his third solo exhibition, the visual artist PASHIAS presented a series of installations and photographs, as interlinked artworks, under the title "Body & Food". Designed specifically for the ArtWall Project Space, the exhibited work showcases 'references' to the live performances PASHIAS had executed for the period of 2011 to 2013. The 'live' dimension of performance art is 'anachronistically' present, transforming the work into autonomous pieces that move beyond the framework of documentation and without the actual presence of the artist. At the intersection of action and absence, the body appears as a vessel offering food and diachronic ideas of consumption. Food is presented as the symbol of a fragmented identity relating to the formation of 'nationhood' and culture, in order to contest a solid definition of heritage.
